Why Trayvon Martin Will Never Get Justice...
Last night the idea popped into my head "Trayvon Martin will never receive justice" ...the reason I think this is because in life we as humans try to conceptualized what "justice" really is. In actuality the only way Trayvon Martin would have been able to receive justice is if he was sitting in that courtroom watching his killer be sentenced. However since he will not there will be no justice. Whether or not the jury reads guilty or not guilty....Trayvon will still be dead.

Thought of The Day: Life is a Theatre
Life is a theatre. Invite your audience carefully. Not everyone is healthy enough to have a front row seat in your life. There are some people in your life that need to be loved from a distance. It's amazing what you can accomplish when you let go, or at least minimize your time with draining, negative, incompatible, not going anywhere relationships/friendships.
Observe the relationships around you. Pay attention. Which ones lift and which ones lean? Which ones encourage and which ones discourage? Which ones are on a path of growth uphill and which ones are going downhill? When you leave certain people. do you feel better or feel worse? Which ones always have drama, or don't really understand, know or appreciate you? The more you seek quality, respect, growth, peace of mind, love and truth around you, the easier it will become for you to decide who gets to sit in the front row and who should be moved to the balcony of your life. You cannot change the people around you. But you can change the people you are around.

New Drake Songs
Drake's new songs he released just set the bar for every other rapper this summer. The 4 songs he released each gave a different side of Drake. "The Motion"and "Over Heals" showed Drake's more emotional side while "Versace" ft Migos (who were the Musical Spotlight 2 days ago) was straight Atlanta trap music. This is building up hype to his upcoming album "Nothing was The Same" projected to be released in September 17, 2012. To check out the new songs Drake's SoundClound <-----click

Musical Spotlight of The Day: Migos
If you haven’t joined the Migos bandwagon I suggest you do. Migos are the new up and coming rap group from
Atlanta. Now usually it takes me a while
to like songs but the songs you see below are definitely club bangers. Check them out and don’t forget to follow
them on twitter @MigosAtl.
Shoutout of The Day Goes to.....Paula Deen
In the midst of a lawsuit Paula Deen testified at her disposition in court that she has used the "N-Word"...SHOUTOUTS TO Paula Deen for keeping it 100000000000%! If she wasnt old enough to be my grandma i'd probably call her a real ass bitch...but since she is..I won't lol! I mean let's face it "we all racist, she just the first to admit!" *kanye voice* ....now the fact that she might lose her show, restaurant and all the other stuff is another post for another day lol...but until then SHOUTOUTS TO YOU!! NIGGAZ FOR LIFE!
Why I Hate Being Black...and Why I Wish I Were Asian.
Sometimes I really hate being
Black. I mean seriously there’s so much
negative stigma attached with being Black.
Remember College Hill? Yeah that
was one of my favorite shows too…especially when they went to Virgin Islands
and they had that big ass fight! LOL!
But yeah it got cancelled because it made Black people look bad but they
same stuff they were doing on College Hill is the same stuff they do on The Real World
and that is in it’s 29th season…..why can’t we just be judged on who
we are as an individual person.
I wish I were Asian. I mean think about it no matter what Asian
people do it’s so fascinating. When an
Asian person dances everybody be like “DAYYYUUUMMM…ok I see you…Ming Lee” when
Black people do it it’s like “ yeah we all know Tyrone can dance…” LONG LIVE THE ASIAN! LOL.
Question of The Day: Is there a difference between being Black and African American?
Post your responses below.

Music Spotlight of The Day: Allen Stone
HipHop's Revolution in 2013.
With the release of Kanye West’s
“Yeezus”, J. Cole’s “Born Sinner”, and Mac Miller’s “Watching Movies with the
Sound off”, there is a changing in the guard in the Hip-Hop community. I am sure my parents remember when Hip-hop
first emerged with Curtis Blow’s “Breaks” and The Sugarhill Gang’s “Rapper’s
Delight” but who knew that what started in The Bronx as an outlet for inner
city youth, would become such a vital part not only in American culture but
worldwide. These three albums represent
on a larger scale were Hip Hop is headed.
Being that Kanye West is closer to
40 than he is to 30, Kanye shows that you can still top charts and be relatable
to different generations and be…”old”.
To this extent, we now have Nas with his Grammy nominated “Life is Good”
and Jay-z’s “Magna Carta” which is rumored to have already gone platinum. These lyricists are proving that they can still
change the game even at their ages.
There are plenty of rappers who are the same age as them or even younger
who we never heard getting past their sophomore album. Kanye, Nas, and Jay all embody the true
essence of hip hop at it’s purest form growing up with the Tupacs, Biggies,
Public Enemy, Run DMC’s and many more but still add a piece of capability to be
able to resonate with a younger audience.
J. Cole’s album was utterly amazing
from start to finish. I have personally
listened to it about 5 times song for song.
I think this album is a frontrunner for the 2014 Grammys for Best
Hip-Hop Album. J. Cole as well as
Kendrick Lamar and others exude 90’s Hip-Hop with their storytelling and
construction of their songs. This
90’s/21st century hybrid gets you hype but makes you think analytically and
critically and since the American Education system cannot seem to speak to our
children especially our African-American males this type of Hip-Hop causes one
to broaden their horizons, use one’s brain and be flexible in mind and
body.
Mac Miller is also opening up a
lane for himself with his sophomore album. At first I did not know how to
receive Mac Miller. Was he another Riff
Raff? Another Asher Roth? Another
Eminem? However Mac Miller sets the
stage for himself. I personally like the
fact he is young and fun but still can spit and has BARS. Furthermore, Mac Miller releasing his album
on the same day as J. Cole and Kanye shows that he has some confidence.
Hip-Hop is reinventing itself….and
I’m proud to witness it.
Love and Hip Hop Episode 9: Damaged and Deranged
If you did not watch last’s night Love and Hip Hop Atlanta,
I suggest you watch before reading this because I am about to give you the run
up, the run down, and the run side to side.
If you’re still reading I am assuming you did….so let’s get started shall
we? This Mimi and Stevie J relationship
extravaganza took a turn for the better when they met up and Stevie apologized
about all his wrongdoing. However when
Stevie J showed up at Mimi’s boyfriend, Nikko, viewing party for his new video, and he didn’t come empty-handed he came with a white BMW! You know Nikko was tight,
but we all know that no matter how many times Mimi gets of the Stevie J train
she is a lifetime rider…no pun intended.
Now old ass Karlie Redd showed up to K. Michelle’s birthday to show her
a diss track she wrote about her…yeah….same thing I said. However y’all know how K. Michelle gets down
and while she didn’t throw a candle this time… lets just say some good liquor
was wasted that night. However it went
from Jerry Springer ratchett to Oprah Winfrey love because, the girls ended the
night by hugging it out and Karlie Redd smacking K.Michelle’s ass. The real messiness came when Rasheeda’s mom
confronted Kirk about wanting him wanting Rasheeda to have an abortion!
Rasheeda’s mom was about to beat the black off Kirk’s ass and knock all 4 off
them fake ass cubic zirconium diamonds out of his ears.
SN: Joseline was off making money being the “Puerto Rican
Princess” #yatusabes
Benzino still hasn’t found his neck but he did seem to find
some forgiveness because beavis and butthead…. I mean he and Stevie J made
up.
Ariane is still on the show instigating and nobody hasnt
caught on yet.
And…hopefully Mimi will not end up on Operation Repo for non-payment
of that BMW….
