Angie Martinez's biopic has taken the
Hip-Hop community by storm with her excellently written
book! I, myself, drove an hour to get it because my local B&N
didn't receive it, but it was worth it!! Before I read the book
I watched Ms. Martinez's interview with The Breakfast Club.
Angela Yee made a comment about how she was able
to play the book out in her head. After reading it she was right.
So below is a list of known actresses who could play the
Radio Legend.
America Ferrera, Ugly Betty Star, would make an excellent
Angie Martinez but could she pull off the New York accent.
Selena Gomez, this was Angela Yee's pick
I don't think she is edgy enough though
but who knows.
Gina Rodriguez, Jane The Virgin Star
Dascha Polanco, Orange is The New Black Co-Star,
she has spent time in New York and Miami as a child
and could definitely capture the essence of Angie
Angie Martinez! Who better to play her than her
and she has acting experience!!
